He says that I'm too young for him even though we are only one year apart. It seems like he likes me a lot. We both have to constantly assure people that we aren't together. I love him more than humanly possible and I'm 95% sure he feels the exact same way. He hugs me and holds me around my waist like a boyfriend would, but then DOESN'T ask me out! What is going on with him? Is he just messing with me or does he really care, but doesn't want to wreck our friendship? Please and thanks for any answers!

My advice don't ever wait for a man. If he won't ask you out and you have asked him out and he said no.. then i am sorry but you need to move on.. Its tough (i know). When he holds you 'like a bf' then move away from him and tell him not to do that.
Sorry but if you wait for him you could be waiting forever

Honey its nothing you can do but ask him what he thinks. I did dat for what....10 years with this guy (off and on).. the last time we hung out, i asked him whether we were gonna take it to the next step or what...he said no..so I stopped talking to him. I wouldn't have stopped talking to him.. if he would have told me this years ago..instead of saying he loves me but isn't ready... now 10 years down the line..i see how dumbfounded i was. What's going on with him..I don't know it could anything...he could be afraid of commitment..or has some things to hide...or just simply doesn't know how you feel.

He might just be afraid to ask you in case he gets shot down. Either way, just wait it out and let him ask you.
