answering machine murder?

Everybody at my school says thatthere was a murder while somebody was recording on their answering machine and one of my teachers called the numberand it sounded real. is it true & if so does anybody have a link so I can prove it.

This sounds like an urban myth to me. If it were true, the teacher would have given the number to the police to investigate. They would have found out where the number was and stopped by to check. What does a murder SOUND like anyway? It could have been a TV in the background.
