It should have been on the ticket. You could get into trouble, owe fines, lose your licence, insurance rates sky rocket. Best bet is to call the courts in the district the ticket was given and try to find out.

The only "courtesy notice" you will get is when you get stopped the next time, and the Officer advises you that you're under arrest for failing to appear on this current citation. The smart thing to do would be to call the court clerk and schedule an appearance before the judge ASAP.

Good luck.

I've heard of the officer giving a 'warning' instead of issuing a ticket. That is the closest to a 'courtesy notice' I can think of. If you were issued a ticket, it should state on the ticket when you are required to appear in court. If in doubt, contact the court and ask them.

It should be state on the ticket itself. If it isn't then you need to contact the division that issued the ticket. If it is not paid in time they will suspend your drivers license and not only will you get points for not paying the fine but you will also get points for having your license suspended.

down where you signed the ticket is the date when you were supposed to show up in court, the ticket is a promise to appear, and I know the cop told you before you signed that you have to appear on or before the date on the ticket, if you didn't go, guaranteed you have a failure to appear arrest warrant on you now.

You better look on your citation for the date to appear. In signing, you made a promise to appear. If you don't, the judge will issue a bench warrant for your arrest. You can't say you forgot....you posted here about it.
