I'm rather fond of the book of Psalms, and not just because I'm a musician. The poetry in there covers a HUGE range of emotions, and the structure is pretty cool, too.

Always the Gospels, Acts and Romans. I like a lot of Psalms and Ecclesiastics. For me, if I had only those things, those parts of the Bible, I would have all I needed to follow God.

I have two. The first is the book of Job. In that book there is much learned wisdom being displayed. It allows us to know that great wisdom is not necessarily limited to those who have lived more years. I am referring to Job’s younger friend who provided him with better counsel and words of wisdom than his older peers. The book of Job is also a favorite because it gives us hope and the understanding to know that our trials and tribulations come for a reason. Persevering through difficult times and remaining faithful to God through any trial yields great rewards.

My most favorite is the Book of Revelation. The Book of Revelation lets us know that the righteous will not be forsaken and the life that we have lived will not be in vain. It also let’s us know that the evil doers and those who hate God and His word will not go unpunished. It ends the Bible with a sigh of relief and an air of hope.

My favorite book is the book of Job. Job was almost a perfect man, yet he was punished, not for what he did, but because Satan thought he would turn against God if he met with misfortune even though he did nothing wrong. A lot of people feel that God punished Job unjustifiably, but we all know that bad things can happen to good people.

It has a happy ending in the end though, he was richly rewarded for sticking to his faith.

This book demonstrates that if you are faithful to God even though bad things happen to you for reasons you can't understand, in the end God will reward you.

The Psalms. It covers the whole range of human emotions. In essence it shows what a relationship with the Living God looks like! The praise, questioning, despair, comfort ...

Ephesians
read chapter 3 from verse 16 til the end of the chapter.
It is the apex of the new testament, doctrinally speaking.

*"The Book of Wisdom AND The Book of Proverbs."*

Do you really know why ? The titles give it away.

One acquires Wisdom, Prudence and Humility through these most excellent books of the Bible.

I have to vote for the Song of Solomon as well, but that's because I'm a sappy romantic. It's poetic, beautifully written and a great love story :0)

Psalms (for the accounts of David) and the Gospels (Jesus' teachings, of course) are close seconds for me though.

What's yours, BTW?

Psalms!

Everything I need is in Psalms. I can praise
God, I can cry out to God, I can be in awe of God, I can be at peace and know that He is my Rock, my Shield, my Deliverer.
Psalms are amazing!

What's your favorite book and why????

Blessings!
