Would I die for my religion? I die for the one I loved and even stranger like you but not religion.
As a believer, I belived that Jesus didn't die for the sake of religion. He died for us.
All religion have one thing in common, None can save us from sin. So, why die for religion?
Religion is traditional, man-made concepts of who God is and not the truth.

Only fanatics would die for their religion, of the people here who hypothetically say they would die for their religion it might be quite a different story in actuality.

For my religion? Probably not. Religion is a way to help build a relationship with God, but it isn't that relationship. Nor is end-all and be-all of my faith.
For my faith or for God? I would like to think I would, but I don't know if I have the strength. I'm not going to deny God, that's for sure.

I asked this question once, the best answer was from an 80 year old war veteran who said that when you are faced with death you would do anything to live.

No, I am not a fanatic. But in the past I have defended everyone's right to believe what and how they want (U.S. military). But I also know that if someone held a gun to my head and said "believe as I do or else" it wouldn't change what is in my heart. And under no circumstance would I try to harm others to change their faith.

Relatively speaking - dying for my religion would be easy - it's the living for it now that's really hard.
