Same thing happens to me. I smell my dad's scent more than two years after he's passed.
And what's really weird, I don't always smell it in the house he used to live in. I smell it in my car some times, at work briefly...at the store.
I think it might be his way of telling me he is near..

And I thought I was the only one...I lost my mom 5 yrs ago and she was my best friend.
I use to smell her a lot in the past. I haven't lately but I keep a dress that belong to her in a plastic bag with her perfume and I take it out everytime I miss her.
The night she die,she was at the hospital and I went back home to change clothes and my daughter was slepping, she was 3 then, she woke up, crying and pointing to the ceiling and saying grandma, grandma!
She did that at 1:14 and my mom die at 1:13...after that I felt her smell, too!
An then I received the fatal call from the hoapital saying come here she is not doing good, but she was dead already.
If it's real who knows but since I experienced it, I treasure it and enjoy it,because,it really put a smile in my face!
Hopefully in yours too!
Thanks for letting me share these!
P.S. I am leaving you these others experiences for you to read....

It is very normal to have that, it has somethings to do with your mind. Psycologist would know the name of that particular problem. But it is very normal, I heard it before, I should be happy that I have not forgotten my dads smell, which means he is always present?

yes i have, my grandpa does this, he passed 2 years ago...he also flickers the lights...its like his "thing". when he was alive, he would walk into the room and turn out the lights, didnt matter who was in the room. it turned into a family joke. im sure glad hes still around though. it makes me feel good.
