How many atheists would be prepared to look to the sky and shout obscenities at God. I think 95% would feel really uncomfortable because they wouldn't be sure he couldn't hear them. Surely this makes them reluctant christians.

Why would Athiests want to shout obscenities into the sky to someone that isn't there?

Surely talking to a pretend sky fairy is a christian's job?

I'd be willing to do it, but it seems counter-productive. It would be like going to the North Pole and shouting obscenities at Santa. But if it makes you feel better, I'll go outside and do that right now...Well, I think I just made one of my neighbors very uncomfortable. But I just dropped a few f-bombs toward the sky. I can't really say that I feel any differently than before, with the exception of my face being a little warmer from the blood flow.

Most atheist wouldn't shout at the sky any more than most christians won't yell out their prayers.
I dont' know if I'd say 95% though for your other point. But I do believe if there were more "pure Atheist" on here than they wouldn't be searching for answers against the Christians. They would just let us be. Their arguing just proves they aren't completely convinced themselves. Thats how you can tell a lie from a truth. The more a person tries to convince you that you are wrong the more likely they are lying to themselves.

No, it does not make them reluctant christians. It would make them agnostics.
And even then, it doesn't matter. There is no such thing as a "true" person of any religion. Even the most devout christians are skeptics, and even the most knowledgable atheist thinks deep down, there is something more out there. I am an atheist, and even at my lowest moments, I feel that there might be a God and he's just punishing me.
So just because these people may decide not to take you up on your suggestion to blaspheme God, you think that doesn't make them "true" atheists and therefore they do not deserve the title?
Your question is stupid.....I'm sorry.

There is absolutely no reason for any atheist to shout obscenities at the sky because there is nothing up there. They would not do it bevcause they would not want to look like total w*nkers.

your question makes no sense. You are talking about agnostics

I think you're completely right. Well, i don't know about the percentage because i haven't done the research...but anyway i think that's true. I question the existence of God from time to time (and i do consider myself a Christian) but i don't think I'd ever have the balls to curse him. Like you said i think some people are reluctant Christians and because they don't want to be held accountable in the end, they think not believing will make it "all go away"....but i also believe there are equally as many if not more who truly don't believe in God.

few people now-a-day can consider themselves as true atheists - whilst there are people out there who don't belive in God or Gods - they are people who have morals and beliefs - thus making them AGNOSTIC and not atheist. An atheist is a person who not only doesn't believe in a God but who has no morals or beliefs at all.

And why not admit that even Christians have looked up at the sky and shouted obscenities at God or worse there is evidence of Christians killing people in the name of God.

What would be the point. There is no entity there to hear any obscenities that were shouted. Your question shows you really do not understand atheists very well. Nice try though.

i'd desire to be sure those definitions, the challenge along with your definitions are manifold a million) to assert a genuine atheist would not even think of roughly God or no remember if God exists is extremely dogmatic- in actuality, i'd guess you need to no longer discover me an atheist that did no longer think of on those very issues to grow to be atheists contained in the 1st place. 2 i've got by no ability stumbled on an atheist who thinks of God as an adversary- i've got in many cases heard christians depict atheists this form although. 3) the theory that fake atheists 'look' very non secular is an opinion- you're actually not likely to locate opinion contained in the dictionary. So whoever wrote those definitions is working for one hell of a dumb dictionary. source please :)

Hel, I'm not even a Atheist but I have no problem shouting obscenities towards the god of the bible. Blasphemy towards him is fun, not uncomfortable. He can't touch me.
