I've been controlling my eating and walking 1 1/2-2 miles a day for 3 weeks now and have only lost 7 lbs. It seems I have lost some inches instead of more weight..how is this possible?

Muscle is heavier than fat, but also takes up less room. So you are probably losing fat and replacing some of it with muscle, which is causing you to become more toned, but not to lose large amounts of weight. Keep up with the good work, and don't pay too much attention to the scales! Calculating your body fat change or the amount of inches you've lost is much more reliable!!

The first 2 answers are right. Ditch the scale and get a measuring tape. I do not believe that your clothing sizes are listed in lbs of kilograms.

Here is more info on measuring body composition.
