Your neighbour would need to prove that you had been negligent in causeing damage to her property. If you were un-aware that there was a problem with the taps or boiler, then it is highly unlikely that she would be able to prove this. If however she had previously made you aware that there was a leak coming from the taps and boiler then she may have a case.
With regard to claiming against insurance for the damage, she would need to claim against her insurance policy as she has the insurable interest in the items/areas damaged and not you. You do not have to claim against your insurance to repair the damage to her flat.
As a good will gesture you may wish to pay her insurance excess as she will be liable for this to claims against her policy and this may help placate the situation.

The wear and tear to the item but the resulting damage should be, make sure you inform your insurers that it is only the resulting damage that you are trying to claim for not te damaged tap. Your neighbour should make a claim on her own insurance and they claims it back off of your insurers.

No Insurance Company will cover for wear & tear. When you sign the proposal form you make a declaration that your property will be kept in good repair. The resulting damage would normally be covered under the accidental damage extension but not for wear and tear, which is your own responsibility.

You wouldn't put it through the insurance for your damage but the liability portion of the policy would cover her damage as you were negligent in up-keeping you boiler.

first of all if you are renting then you should not have to pay a dime, you cary renters insurance for that type of thing, if you own the building then technically your insurance company is required to pay on what you would like to claim as long as your deductible is paid. as for the damage for her place, she needs to contact HER insurance company and if they believe that it is not something that is covered under HER insurance policy normally the insurance company would just pay it and then go after your insurance company for reimbursement..

I truthfully have continually nursed & my youthful ones have by no potential gotten sicker than me, in reality they hardly have ever had a blip. both abdomen insects we had with little ones - one became 2 episodes of projectile vomit (over about a 2 hr time) and then it became over & the subsequent time became similar minus projectile. It extremely became no huge deal. My 2 year did get a tummy malicious program this 365 days (nonetheless nursing) and he puked for days & days & that became my 1st time coping with that & it became no longer interesting, yet he did high-quality with it. I even took him to the ER to study for dehydration & they reported he wasn't & probable because he remains nursing & it extremely is all he would take at the same time as unwell. They did supply him Zofran to offer up the puking even with the reality that & that became a godsend. i became advised on the on the spot that's contagious by potential of saliva/vomit & fecal remember. the kind we had (all of us had it) became VERY contagious. i imagine i'd avert that neighbor. She appears like a weirdo. Who would say this manner of horrid aspect to a momma about her toddler? Your toddler is going to be high-quality. Breastmilk does an exceedingly good pastime at combating dehydration - a lot so as that no remember how a lot your toddler throws up you by no potential opt to withhold it. They do supply up formulation even with the reality that & supply pedialyte. there is not any longer some thing more suitable hydrating or delicate to a tummy than momma's milk. OS situation about YOU & preserving your self hydrated, relax & get that previous bag out of your head. some human beings might want to get a hoarse voice more suitable in many cases..
