will openoffice files work on powerpoint?

i wanna ask i donwloaded officefiles and i saved it in .ptt? i think thats for powerpoint am i right?? cuz its for a presentatiton for school and i would like to know if its going to work on powerpoint cuz they dont have open office workfile.

Yeah that should work OK. I use it lots the other way around, I develop presentations at work on office 2003 and then show them on open office presenter on a linux laptop.

Just preview it before the big day!

It will work if you save it as a powerpoint file from open office.
