Start the day with a cold shower, it works wonders. Most people are warm from the bed and then drink coffee in the morning and the warmth inhibits metabolism.

if your metabolism has always been sluggish then try going to your doctor and asking for a thyroid test. it could be that your thyroid is underactive or it could be you have a thyroid like mine which stopped working two years ago because my body was producing thyroid antibodies which stopped my thyroid from working, my doctor did a simple blood test and put me on medication which gets the thyroid working again which gets your metabolism working - if your thyroid isn't working right or at all your metabolism won't work either they are connected! but if there's nothing wrong with your thyroid then the only way i know of to get the metabolism going is to eat something in the morning even if it's just a piece of toast then eat little but often throughout the day as you move about. but see your doctor first!

A good metabolism is a by-product of efficient digestion and nutrient absorption an assimilation. Take probiotics / digestive enzymes to hasten digestion, absorption and assimilation, which will jump start your metabolism, giving you added energy, and other benefits. Try to eat a raw salad everyday, yogurt with acidopholous and bifidus, and even some milks have enzymes in them as well. Papayas, pineapples and apples have enzymes good for breaking down a variety of meats.

The best way I know to kickstart (or even jumpstart...lol) your metabolism is to eat fresh fruits or vegetables because they easily ferment and start off the metabolic process in your body. One product I recommend is the DXN Morinzhi Juice, and you can find information on it in the products page of my DXN website: http://www.livingurdreams.ws

If you can eat/drink/take it and it claims to kick start your metabolism, it's a lie or dangerous or both. No substitute for old fashioned exercise and eating healthy.
