i'm sure your mom loves you a lot, and she would be concerned if she knew. and, if your mother is receptive enough, she will have already noticed your problem. you should tell here face to face, where it is just the two of you. she can help you to get help for yourself.

It may be the Hardest thing you'll ever do, miss, but the fact is, YOU ARE ADDICTED to HURTING YOURSELF!!!
TELL YOUR MOM.
If this hurts her or if she becomes angry, do not take it upon yourself . . and STOP THERE, from seeking the DIRE HELP you need, and NOW!!!
We all, even in much lesser situations get into the mind set, dear, that if we speak of what is tormenting us, sometimes not even knowing what this is - is going to HURT, ANGER, CAUSE more of a problem than there IS already.
No, it is your RESPONSIBILITY to HELP save yourself, no matter what . . do you understand?
If your mom responds, in a negative way : emotionally hurt or angry with you and the situation, YOU GO SEE SOMEONE WHO IS MORE RESPONSIBLE in directing you to the help you need!

I would never tell you NOT to tell your mom. because oftentimes SECRETS as the one you've just disclosed can turn deadly, fatal!
You want help, or you would not have posted this question to the forum.
You seem to firstly want to tell your mom, I respect whatever those reasons are.
If telling your mom does not bring the results you are expecting, Please, Please, I'll say it again : Go right on to find a person who'll help you, understand why you are mutilating yourself and further share the responsibility to get you NOT To Continue Doing So!!!
Being a victim of oneself is the most dangerous thing one can be!
Put an end to your torment, not later, but NOW!

My best friend is addicted to cutting himself, too. Many people are and I dont blame them. Just be like "I did it for the first time, and after that, I just couldn't seem to stop. I'm addicted Mom. And I love you, this was an accident. I don't mean to hurt you or anything...I just need help."

OHHH...tell her you need to talk to her seriously. Im sure shes noticed something is wrong. Tell her you need her to confide in, and that you need someone to be there for you. Tell her your situation. Shes going to be like "what" at first but she will calm down. She'll know that you need help and will try to help you as best as she can. Tell her you would like to get help for this problem. Let her know how your feeling and why you do it, if your going to get help from her, you need to tell her everything. Open up its your mom. Everything she does she thinks about you while shes doing it. Its in you and your families best interest to tell her. Honey this is going to be hard and very upseting to your mom, but Im sure she doesint want you to harm yourself anymore. You Can do it. God bless and good luck everything will be okay.

This is a problem that you need professional help with. Tell her you want to talk to a counselor and then the counselor will help you tell her. You will also get the support you need and a plan to get better.

Please just walk right up to her and tell her all at once. Get it all out and fast. "Mom, I'm cutting myself and I need help - please."

Don't worry about hurting her - she has loved you all her life, and she wants to know! She will throw her arms around you and be so grateful for the chance to help you through this.

Don't think about this any more - just go tell her right now.

Tell her you need to talk to her. Ask her if she has ever heard of cutting. Tell her you do it and you need help. Good luck.
