ok well there is this boy i really like and he tells eveyone he is going to ask me out! Then when we get to our date or what not he holds back. Is he doing this on perpuse so i end up having to ask him out? Or is he just nervous?

My experience is if a guy really likes you he will ask you out regardless of shyness or what not. If a guy holds back it usually means he is not sure himself.
However if you like him, ask him out. you never know

Nervous or shy. If any guy knows that a girl would say yes with 100% assurance, then he would ask them out without any nerves or hesitation I assure you, and not risk making the lady angry at him for making her do it, or for fear she will lose her nerve and not ask. So he either doesn't know for sure or thinks there's a chance you will change your mind and he can't imagine what that reason would be - if he thought he knew why you'd say no (change your mind) he would either work on it if the reason for a no could be considered his fault, or just chalk it up to "women's whims" and leave it at that, hoping the answer was still yes.

Just nervous. Next time just tell him in his face that he is really cute and the he is so sweet. That will calm his nervous and give him that extra boost of confidence
