wherever you put the lemon juice, your hair will become lighter, you'll basically get highlights in your hair. it's not that dramatic unless you do it for a long time, but if you only do it a few times, it'll usually look really natural and soft. your hair might get reddish tones or just lighter brown colors, it really just all depends on how your hair naturally lightens. lemon juice basically just speeds up the natural process of your hair lightening in the sun, so w/e color your hair becomes in the sun should be the color you end up w/when you use lemon juice.no, your parents shoudn't be concerned about it, but i have to warn you, it's a little drying for your hair, not a lot, just a bit, but not enough to the point where you should worry about it. and yea, the higlights/streaks are permanent. good luck and have fun!

hey i did this same thing over the summer, the thing is you have to stay in the sum for a while and you need like a whole lemon b/c a little squirt won't do much, you're hair doesn't lighten up anything crazy actually it only lightens up a little adn you don't really get streaks, well i didn't and it's only going to stay like that for as long as you keep adding lemon and staying in the sun. just DO NOT put peroxide in your hair my mom did that when she was a kid and her hair was orange. well best of luck!

No they are not permanent, as your hair grows out the color will get farther from the roots and eventually cut off when you decide to cut your hair. Lemon juice will do it because of the acid, hydrogen peroxide or vinegar will also work. It takes time to lighten hair so in the beggining it won't be very noticable. I wouldn't put that much on at first, doing it gradually will make it less noticable.

yes lemom juice does lighten ur hair. it's not that drastic, it just gives ur hair some natural highlights and a sun kissed glow. and don't just squirt it on u have to put it in a spray bottle and spray it evenly, and just go out in the sun for an 1/2 an hour to an hour. ur parents won't be concerned about it. u just have to wash it right after with a moisture shampoo so ur hair dosen't dry out. and yes the streaks are permanent until ur hair grows in. good luck!

ok i did this last summer when i had my hair dark brown with blonde streaks in it so i'll tell you how it turned out on the dark brown part. You know the sunkissed look? lemon juice just dramatises the lightness that your hair would become anyway (from laying out in the sun) your perents will have nothing to worry about. it just gives you an extra sunkiss touch . and use condistioner and moistuiser. anywho stay away from flys UGGH the time i did it they werre alll over me..i'm a fly magnet...guess i'm hott to them

what i did is squirt around 4 large lemons in a spary bottle and added around a quarter cup or water. you can use a tooth brush dipped in lemon juice for streak effects orr use the spray method for sunkissed.

I've used lemon juice to lighten my hair before and it made a slight difference, but I have blonde hair. I don't think you would notice it much on dark hair. I have heard that green tea can add a reddish tint to brown hair. There are also shampoos that might lighten it a bit.

The lemon juice works , yet for sure the honey is purely going to adhere on your hair & make it tangled. So purely get the lemon juice thoroughly moist your hair with the lemon juice && both BLOW dry your hair (after a at the same time as) or like others suggested <<--- sit interior the sunlight till ultimately needed colour :) choose this helped

If you use lemon juice on dark brown hair the highlights will be reddish. They are permanent, but your hair will grow back in the color it normally is. Won't hurt you.......Also gets your hair a little cleaner

it wont lighten ur hair much if u hav really dark hair. I read in a magazine that beer is better for lightening ur hair. If there are any streaks, they wont be permanent.

Yes it can lighten it however I do not know in the case of brunettes, I would check out glazes or head to your local sallys because the price is not extreme and many people in those stores are incredibly knowledgable.
