I have a sore in the back of my throat a tiny bit to the left of my uvula. I first noticed a small bump after I ate breakfast this morning, and throughout the day it's progressively gotten larger and more bothersome. The bump itself is sore like a canker. It's so close to my uvula that it's been making me want to gag all day!

Is this a canker sore? What can I use to make it so I don't feel like gagging all the time? How can I get rid of it?

No, it is not possible that it is an STD. I thought of that too, but currently that would be impossible.

Considering you do not have other symptoms of Strep Throat (fever, swollen lymph nodes) I would guess it is either a canker sore or an allergic reaction to something you ate.

Gargling with warm salt water and taking an anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen would help with the pain/swelling.

GOOD LUCK!

I would go to the doctor and get a strep test just to be sure. Is it possible that it could be some sort of STD? (Sorry, just asking.) Take some pain relievers and gargle with warm salt water and drink some tea in the meantime. I hope you feel better.
