Anyone been to either or both? Which is better and why? Can't decide. Where's good to go?

I lived in Guernsey for 6 months. I absolutely loved it but it was a little bit detached from the reality of crime, poverty etc. The island is really pretty and charming. You can go for a good days walk around it. Beaches are nice. Cliffwalks amazing with wild flowers and woods. Attractions include Strawberry farm, Candie Gardens, Guernsey Bears, Pearl Factory, Market, nearby islands of Herm and Sark are super. Cafes are nice too. Nightlife was great when I was there {1997} with pubs, cocktail bars and 2 clubs. There are 2 leisure centres with cinemas etc. Wages are bad there but tax is low. I visited Jersey a few times but didn't like it as much. It is alot more inpersonal and bigger. Not the same charm though there are probably some lovely places away from the capital. It depends if you're going on holiday or to live. I would definitely choose Guernsey.

I used to work with someone who went to Guernsey every Spring. Apparently the beaches are lovely as are the people and the weather.

I've been to Guernsey and it's lovely. I've heard Jersey is nice too and they do an excellent line in strawberries and cream! yum yum

It depends what you want. Both are lovely, Guernsey is quieter.
