We never had any trouble with puppies learning their names. They even know their nicknames. Our last two pups were pom puppies (sisters) They did not have a problem learning their names either. When we play with them we always say their names.

well seperate the two dogs and one at a time, call the name of the dog so that everytime u say its name it will respond. do the same with the other dog. *note they may still both come when u call one even if they know their names* also teach them tricks!!! make sure the names sound different enough too. hope this helps!

They pick up on it eventually. Just address them each by their own names and they will figure it out.
We had a dog that would only come when the other dog was called - he wanted to make sure the other one didn't get more attention than he did! He did know his name though, he was just a stubborn little guy.

No. Mine have no problem figuring out who I'm directing my comment to. Neither sits for their treat until they hear their own name. Sirius is usually in trouble and Shadow knows if he's getting scolded, she isn't in trouble because I don't use her name.
If I have just one of the dogs with me, I could call the other dog's name until I'm blue in the face and the other dog won't pay any attention. The minute I use their name, they'll respond instantly.

I have two and they know their own names. Of course I got them at different times, which helps. Make sure the two names sound different (not Bo and Mo for example) and do separate training sessions with them so they learn their own names. That said, when I call one, I usually get both.

Yes you can. I've always had 2 dogs, my friends have always had 2 dogs at one time. Just repeat their names to them over and over. Give him a toy or treat and tell them their names. It's just a matter of repetition.
Good Luck
