It's fine to let them swim but make sure it's a safe swimming beach, free of high waves and especially rip currents. If it's not safe for humans to swim, it's not safe for the dogs. Heed the warning signs and supervise closely. Make sure your dogs are generally obedient and will come when called. Bring poop bags - don't let it wash into the ocean and contaminate the water. Make sure dogs are allowed off-leash at the beach you are going to.
Be sure to rinse the salt water and sand out of their coats afterward and bring lots of old towels!

Most goldens don't really get into swimming until they are about 2 years old. As far as I know, goldens love water and the beach. They will have a great time. Even if not in the water, they can play in the sand and run from the waves. Golden Retrievers even have webbed feet. Have a good swim!

I have 4 golden retreivers, They love to swim. I have a pond, and they are always in it. I'm sure your goldens would love the beach. Take along a toy to throw in the water that they can retrieve. They will have a blast...

They would love and adore a swim at the beach. I know my Golden does. But a very important point - dont forget to bring A LOT of fresh water. They will drink the saltwater and they may get very dehydrated.
HAVE FUN!!

I have alwayss wanted to do that with my dog, we took her to a lake one time and she had a blast. Dogs must naturally know how to swim because she was great at it and that was her first time. Your dog will love it.
