Tattoo Issue?

I just got a tattoo a week ago and I'm worried about the peeling on part of it. It's a shooting star on my foot and one of the smaller stars is raised off my foot a little and it seems like a large portion is peeling off. I've cleaned it exactly the same as the rest of the tattoo...but this part is peeling different? any comments? is it normal?

but when i woke up this morning the skin had fallen off, but every bit of the color from inside the star only was gone too. I mean, there is not one spot of color left in the star and it is very slightly indented. I asked a friend who has been around the tattoo business and she said it could either have been because i had a reaction to that color or ink of that star or it could have been because when i had the tattoo done that star was done twice because the first color of purple was not dark enough. Any ideas? Only the inside of that star was affected...not any of the surrounding area. rest healed normal?

well your friend is completely correct. A reaction to ink that is a simple allergy just means the colour will get pushed out and the skin will heal as before. The only other option is that again as your friend said they went over it too much, it scabbed and the scab came off early pulling the colour with it. Go back to the shop where you got it and they will be able to tell you for sure as its hard to give diagnoses without seeing it. They will also be able to give you the best advice towards repairing it and touchup.

its true that some people dont take to some colors. purple is known for that. likely the shop will touch it up for free.

mine is doing the same way and i have not had one to do this i went to the dr and he said it was not infected or anything it would heal in time

you'll be fine. its normal. I have 6 tatoos, and all of them healed differantly, because they are differant parts of my body.
