It is supposed to be great for the treatment of breast cancer. There are side effects however for most people. As long as the side effects are able to be handled then continue on. I didn't tolerate it very well personally, my bone pain was horrible so they switched me over to Taxotere which I handled a little bit better but everyone is different. Good Luck to your mom!! She's almost there.

it's a very common chemotherapy for breast cancer. it's a good medication, fda approved for breast cancer. side effects can vary depending upon the person, but some to watch for include pain in muscles and joints after chemo, numbness or tingling in hands and feet, changes in blood counts, and fatigue. most of my patients on taxol don't have big problems with nausea. i hope your mom's treatment goes well.
