You need some sort of product otherwise the weather and everything will just frizz it up. After you shower comb product through and let the air dry it a bit, if you dry right away with the blow dryer it will just fry your hair. While drying try to brush it straight, some recommend round brushes but they sometimes are too awkward, so I use a paddle brush. When its dry straighten with the straightener in small sections, clipping back what you finished so that you get everything. Finally when going outside stay away from rain and anything wet, it will just undo all your hard work.

Good luck

The best way for a perfect finish is to use straightening balm on each section as you go. A large paddle brush will give you poker straight hair, and a round brush will give you a softer curved finish.

Here are my tips on hair straightening for people with wavy or slightly curly hair that want it straight but still healthy:

1. Wash with a regular shampoo that will remove buildup or at least prevent it.
2. Use a good conditioner that won't weigh hair down but still will condition it.
3. Once out of the shower, wring hair out until it doesn't drip anymore, then dry as much as possible with a towel.
4. Apply a little bit of straightening gel before blow drying and in between towel drying.
5. Blow dry by taking sections at a time and with a flat brush- it takes a while to master exactly how to straighten accurately but it's worth it.
6. Use a little bit of gel or cream or something to keep it straight and non-frizzy.
7. It should last for about 2 days, depending on temperatures.

Good enough...If you are utilizing a flat iron too generally it will possibly appear that your hair is falling out. However, this isn't the case. What can absolutely happen is that the hair is breaking off. This will also be brought on from over use of warmness home equipment OR from them being too doggone sizzling on your hair to tolerate. What you have to do is follow some silicone situated products to your hair earlier than making use of warmness. I endorse TIGI "S element". These are wonderful for thick unruly hair. Helps to delicate and defend with tons of moisture as good. Use these at the side of the warmness protect spray. You follow this spray earlier than you blowdry AND earlier than you follow warmth with the flat iron. Additionally make sure your home equipment will not be set on excessive heat. You have to hold them the bottom warmth environment that works for you. It may take a litle longer to get the hair straight, but you're going to be less likely to undergo all that breakage. Take a look at your hair in the reflect. If you see plenty of tiny quick pieces sticking up in your head, this is breakage. I'm hoping you dont have much but, and you can avert future breakage now.

If you hair is curly like mine, it won't become very strait if you just straighten it without using any kind of air product to make it shiny and sleek. You should try using like a hair polish or mabey a leave-in condition so it will straighten better. Also remember to to drag the iron through you hair to fast, or it won't come out good. And make sure the iron's on the h highest setting.

well, first of all, natural hair is the most beautiful and any guy should appreciate you for your natural beauty.

if you are desperate to straighten your hair (as so many of us are), then wash it at night with straightening shampoo, comb it out, and dry it in sections from the root to the tip with a brush so that it dries straight. make sure it is all the way dry, or it will curl underneath. then straighten it immediately. in the morning, straightne it again. i recomend going to Trade Secret and getting a Straight Tools straightener.

I'm not sure, but it's probably because you don't know how to spell the word straighten. In any case, after it's dry, use a flat iron. That will get it straight.

i had very curly hair and i had the same problem for a while. You could use a ceramic straightener or blow dry it with a large barrel round brush.
