I haven't gotten my hair cut or trimmed in about 9 months. I've been really busy and plan on getting it trimmed this weekend but how much do you think I'll have to cut off?

Locks for Love. They take 10 inches and make wigs for little kids who have gone bald from chemo treatment for cancer. I wish I could do it because my hair grows almost twice as fast as normal ppls' hair but I don't think my job would let me get away with having hair that long... :o(

i actually went for 14 months without getting my hair cut. it was bad...i went in and asked for a trim of the dead/ damaged ends, and I had to have 5 inches of damage removed. so i would go and ask to have the damage and then some taken off so that your hair can grow and become healthy. and even though it is hard, try to remind yourself to cut it about every 4 or 5 months at the most.

I haven't either. can't afford it anymore. I've been doing something someone taught me...When hair is wet, twist small sections and take a lighter to the ends. Sounds crazy, I know. But it works! It only takes the dead ends off. Yes, it stinks, but again- it works! If you go get a "trim" they will cut off a whole lot. Olny do this with really WET hair.

Truthfully, it's up to you, but since it's been about 9 months, at least an inch or two would be good... If you had a desire to go shorter and you had plenty of length, the 10 inches and locks of love donation would be a nice idea! Go to a stylist and look at some of the hair style books ... find the look that fits you and then go for it ok! Good luck!

Just cut off the dead ends. The person who is going to cut your hair should know how much of the ends are dead, because they're usually frayed out and dry. But I would say about 2-3 inches.

I would ask ur Stylist but i Would say 4 and a half inches... U need to Cut ur hair or you'll get alott of split ends and ur hair wont grow if u have split ends..

let ur person tell u how badly the ends are and ask how much needs to be taken off for ur hair to be healthy, thats the best

It depends on what style you want. Some styes don't require a lot of cutting.

about 4 inches. its not that much. take it to 4 and if you can handle 5-6 go for it. good luck!
