I have been "casually" seeing this guy for about a month, I'm 19, he's 23. He hasn't even tried to hold my hand or kiss me, tells my friend he's afraid to do anything because I may feel uncomfortable. And all he talks about is work and rarely asks me anything about myself, I always have to volunteer the info myself. i need some ideas on what I should talk to him about and ask him to get to know him better.

Ask him about his mother, as he obviously is a mommas Boy. After a month, you have someone well beyond shyness, this is a guy who us so repressed he will need therapy.

How casual are you talking here, because why would you want him to hold your hand or kiss you if you guys are just "causually" seeing each other. It is obvious that you like him, and YOU shouldn't volunteer no more, you have to stop showing that you are that THAT interested in him and let him come to you. It is true that guys would be afraid that the girl would be uncomfortable when they "make the move", so try to show that you won't be uncomfortable, maybe in the movies, lean on his shoulder a bit, show him some signs that you want "THIS" to happen, because I gota admit guys are slow sometimes. And I can tell that he likes you too, because he is nervous(talking about work, cuz he doesn't know what ot talk about) and worries too much about how he should act around you(thinking should he hold your hand or not..etc). I would say that you should wait for him to man up and say.."where is this relationship going?"

Be right up front with him. Many guys are very afraid of rejection/saying the wrong thing. I am sure that he really cares for you, and needs to know that you are going to be there for him if if he fumbles in communication. But, don't be one that tells a guy that he can say anything, and when he Say's something you don't like, you walk. Be sincere, and honest. Some guys like to feel just as secure in their relationship as girls do. He just may need a boost. Good luck!

Honestly he sounds like a good guy. A player would have already had sex with you & be moving on. He sounds like he will be faithful to you, even dating. All he knows is his work. He might have low self-esteem or other kids picked on him. Unless he is short, he might have the cocky short person disease. If that is true, disregard what I said at the beginning. Otherwise ask him to help you with a situation with your work. Relate something of your life to his work, Go to a ball game, eat a hot dog, go bowling, test drive a new car. Just have fun,

You can always hold his hand and make the "first" move. As for getting to know him, you can always ask what does he want and expect from a relationship. You can always ask him about his past relationships, the good things he had with his ex lovers.
You should ask yourself first those questions.

you start the physical slowly and he should pick it up and ask him his opinion on questions about you that way he starts to talk about you and understand you instead of himself. To tell you the truth though i really dont get this relationship because he is being the opposite of what you both should want.

He probably has deep feelings for you which overwhelms him so the easiest subject is to talk about his work instead of you. I suggest you hold his hand first and might make him feel somewhat comfortable....less tension so to speak.
