Skin or cutaneous tags are tiny pieces of skin that stick out of the body. They're basically harmless and appear as people age. Its a normal occurance in all people, but are more common amongst women.

Skin tags are a cosmetic and not a medical problem. They cannot turn into cancer. They are quite common in people 60 and older. They are more common in women. A tendency to develop skin tags may run in families. Skin tags also develop commonly after pregnancy. They can be removed with an out patient procedure, either from cutting, or from burning or chemically removing.

They are small growths of skin, specially on the neck area or any area were the skin rubs on some more skin ( like when we are fat on the folds). According to my dermatologist nurse this will happen more when you are overweight. The ones on the neck normally comes with aging, I personally believe some people get them ore than others. Is best to have them removed, specially if they are on the way ( ex. on yr cheek, on the neck and they get caught on yr jewelery, etc.)
