My antenna broke off and I want to purchase one that I seen online but I don't want to purchase it if I have to get a professional to do it, unless it is cheaper......

if you need to replace the antenna base, then you should probably take it to a tech.

if the base is in one piece and you can unscrew whatever is left, then you can do it yourself, it just screws off.

and remember: righty tighty, lefty loosey
also, if you are getting a stubby antenna, dab a little blue locktite on the threads of the antenna before screwing it on, it deters the people who might try and steal your shiny new antenna.

Just do it yourself. As long as you don't get frustrated and start breaking things, you should be fine doing it yourself.
