I'm a guy, been out with a girl four times now. BEFORE outing #1, she said that she just wants to be friends. On date #2 we saw a movie, during the tense parts, she grabbed me and ended up holding my hand. Afterwards she blew it off "this is not a date." On date #3, she asked me out, and held my hand for the whole movie... but still "this is not a date." We go out to eat afterward, and she complains that "guys don't step up when they should." What's up with that?

If you still want this to be more, then ask how she feels about you dating others, since you are just friends.

Ok this chic is playing games unless she just honestly wants to be ur friend. She may just mean it as just friends b/c she's not ready for a relationship or just friends as in just friends. She may like u but wanna be a lil player as well...who knows this day & time tho. But I don't know if I would be holding a guys hands if I have no interest in him that's just too weird for me. I only give men that I am truly interested in that kind of attebtion!! ;-)

if you are a guy why is your pic a girl? to answer your ? she is allowing you to be a friend to her while (because you are allowing it ) not being a friend ( because she is hurting your feelings & confusing you ) to you! she is basically taking advantage of you, but unless you are going to admit to being a complete punk right now then you need to recognize that you are not helpless and 1) let her know that you have enough friends 2 ) if she wants to go out as a potential girlfriend to call you and 3) if not then she should lose your # because your more than a seat warmer til something better comes along!

She's testing you to see if you like her. Sometimes the guy needs to make the move too! Let her know you like this girl by responding to her moves. Don't let her just think you don't really enjoy spending time with her. That's why she gets so tense. Can't you see she's backing off because you are just standing there? Show her your affection lol! Seems like neither of you have had a lot of experience dating.

Remember, she wants a friend so you must abide by her decision, she is telling this because she is not ready for any committment right now, so just be her friend for right now, if it is meant to be it will be.But you must controll your feelings for right now cause if you push it you just might lose it. Please you got to be friends first before anything starts in a relationship, someone to confide in, someone who she can trust, someone who she can turn too no matter what, with no questions asked, just listern to her and hear every word that she say's, remember, women want to be heard ,understood, and loved with respect.
