Sure, you can buy a trailer for cash. They love cash.

Oh? You want to RENT one? How are you going to prove that you'll bring it back?

OK it's true that a credit card isn't proof you'll bring it back, but it does give them the opportunity to simply charge your credit card for the cost of the trailer, and once it clears, close the book on a profitable sale. As opposed to trying to repo a stolen trailer that could be anywhere.

In any case, a credit card proves your credit report isn't a shambles, so you at least tend to pay what you owe. Credit cards also serve as ID, lot easier to catch a person when you have their credit card on file, can subpoena their SSN and employer, etc.

Given that, what rental company with half a brain would ever take cash for a rental?

Call them at 1-800-789-3638 and ask you doof. It took more time to sign into Yahoo and type the question than it would have to call.

I don't see why they wouldn't, since it's guaranteed payment. If you have a credit card however, in most cases your reservation deposit will be waived. If you decide to pay in cash then you'll have to pay a cash deposit.

Yes, but you still have to have a deposit of several hundred dollars, and they usually want that on a credit card, (even a checkcard is ok).

Can you name any businesses that expressly DON'T TAKE CASH? Dumbass question.
