If you want your dog to sit;

First, You hold a treat a little higher than the dogs nose and a little farther out.

After you do that a couple times say the word sit while you do it

Then after a while say sit and if the dog sits then give it a treat.

When it gets good at that just praise the dog... no treats.

This works for any trick

Since it is obvious that you do not have a clue about obedience training, your services should be for free. You cannot train even an adult dog for 8 hours a day. About the most that can be done at any one time is 10 - 20 minutes and that is with an adult dog and not a puppy. The attention span on this baby is extremely short and training session should be no more than 10 minutes and twice a day. Additionally, there isn't going to be much learned if you will only be training for 5 days. Obedience training is cumulative and is done over a much longer period of at least several weeks to several months.
What you can charge is determined by your experience, reputation, and accomplishments and in a case like this, should also include guaranteed expectations. Just working with dogs over several years, is not the experience that is necessary to be a dog trainer. There are too many people who are putting that title to their name and fleecing the public. Don't be one of them.

Well, you first have to start with the question, "what tricks do I want to teach my dog?". There are so many to learn. To cover all that you want to teach your dog, I would suggest going to a pet store and purchasing a book for dog tricks. These are usually very easy to find and under about $8.00 . Good luck!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://tinyurl.im/1lk0m

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

The trick is to get them to do it themselves, and reward them when they do so. For example, if your are teaching your dog how to sit, if you see them sit down, say "sit" so they will learn to associate the word with the action, then say "Good boy/girl" and give them a pat on the head and a treat. Once your dog has learned, you can begin to substitute hand signals for words, using the same methods.

I'd suggest an obedience class with a good trainer. That way, your dog'll learn basic commands and learn how to be around and be social with other dogs.

I always take my dog where it is quite and where I can get his full attention. Have a bunch of his favorite treats (mine loves liver treats). Show him a treat and even give him one. Now that you have his attention ask him to do something, example "sit" put your hand on his lower back and urge him to sit. When he does what you asked give him a treat and tell him good dog. Repeat this over and over until he knows what you want. Good Luck
