ok
so i was doing a project with this kid i liked and he asked if i had a boyfriend and i said no. then, he said do you want one? and i said i dont know. But, i wish i had said yes.
we have class together and see each other everyday.
i don't know what to do now!

go up to him and ask him the same thing...be like "do you have a girlfriend" " do you want one" and then problem solved

Just say do you remember when you said do you want a boyfirend and I said I don't know - and then when he says yes, then say well, I do want a boyfriend if you're interested... or something like that. Just be clear and honest and if he's not a jerk, it will all work out.

1) Your statement, "I don't know" is certainly not a door closer.
The guy should have persued you further... But since he apparantly did not, it would be perfectly o.k. for you to follow up with something like... "are you going to ask me out or what?".
2) user whatever words you are comfortable with but make the point.

Give him a call and tell him that you wanna meet him for your project and then invite him for a coffee. He will understand that you're interested in him

ahhh the things we regret :( girl I say you just keep talking to him , and its pretty kool since u say u have him 4 class everyday , get to know him better, and he might be asking that question again
