Colds usually last 3-4 days. When I get a cold I will take medicine to clear my head and dry my nose up. I load up on the vitamin C and double my vitamin intake. Instead of taking just 1 I will take 1 vitamin in the morning and 1 at night. I will put ice packs on my throat to help with the inflammation.
I will also ice my sinuses. Drink plenty of fluids and eat chicken noodle soup with some garlic in it. When I do this for my daughter she is better in
2 days. Oh yea, get plenty of rest. It helps you recover faster. Hope you are feeling better soon.

First off drink Plenty of water. This will help your body flush out the germs. Second, make sure you don't eat dairy. Dairy increases the amount of Mucus (or snot) that your body preduces, so it will make you feel worse. Increase your intake of probiotics. This is the good bacteria which will help you fight off the bad germs. You can get this through Soy yogurt which will also not make your body produce more mucus like dairy yogurt would. Finally, if the cold just started go by some Cold-eeze. It is holistic, but it is clinically proven to shorten the cold (as well as the symptoms) by 3 days I think. I recommend the tropical fruit flavor. Since you have to suck on it, it will also help your throat! Good luck and FEEL BETTER!!

Well, it takes maybe a week or less. If I get a cold just like yours, I eat a lot of soup and I also drink A LOT of water. That makes my mind relax, and helps the cough and sore throat. Hope you feel better!

I usally take meds to let my nose run so I can blow it out. Watch what kind you get because some will just have it drain into your stomach and you get sick.
