How do I protest the wrong amount also I can't the the company that place the judgement.

It's possible they tacked on a bunch of legal fees for the cost of filing, as well as administrative fees on their end. Most places are allowed to do that when they seek a judgement against someone and the fees are considered 'reasonable' within your state's guidelines. You should be able to get a copy of the judgement from your county courthouse and may be able to track down the original creditor that way.

Did you appear in court the date of judgement?? If you did not appear you were in default. You may offer to settle for the oraginal amount or less if you have the means to pay. A judgement is good for 10 years. If you are a home owner you may be able to refinance and pay of debt. In other words if you did not attend court date you are SOL. Sorry If you want some info on a refi I could point you in the right direction.

go to the court and see what they can do and bring any paper work that show how much u are suppose to pay
