I am looking into buying a new car. Not a used car, a brand new one.
I'm not sure how much I want to spend, but I know I want a convertable. I'd like to keep the price as low as possible. What car should I get?

Mazda Miata.
If you want a 4-seat convertible try the Pontiac G6 or Chrysler Sebring.

It depends. If you want a 2-seat roadster, a Miata is probably your best bet. If you care about handling, a Toyota MR2 (Mid-engine, Rear-wheel drive, 2-seats) is affordable, if you get an older body style. I personally got a Jeep Wrangler, because I like them, and they have four seats and a full roll cage. There are hundreds for sale on eBay Motors at any time. A brand-new Wrangler costs anywhere from $19,500 - $34,000. You probably should consider a slightly used model, though, whatever you buy.

How about a Pontiac Solstice Convertible? About $24K out the door. Pretty smart looking. Not much horsepower though.

you may be able to find a Chrysler LeBaron in your area for cheap. these cars are convertibles, and also have a low price tag. you may be able to even find one on ebay, such as this one:
