No.

You can be in LUST with someone you just met.

Love develops over time... as you get to know someone... as you feel more comfortable with them.... as you realize their flaws and you still want to be with them.

Some people may say it's happened to them... love at first sight. But it's not true. They say it because OF COURSE it sounds really cute. lol. But love doesn't appear at a mere sight of someone. It's more mature than that.

I don't think you can be truly in love with someone you just met. If you don't know the person very well, you most likely have had a positive first impression and are in love with your hopes and expectations of that person. When someone immediately impresses us greatly, we sometimes 'project' onto that individual the qualities we want them to have, without our even being conscientious that we are doing it. Get to know them better, and keep an open mind. The danger is that, when you have a serious crush on someone, you might overlook negative things or 'red flags' that you would quickly spot in others, such as bad manners, inconsideration of your feelings, etc. And then, the most extreme case would be those people who have been abused or suffered some kind of neglect in in childhood who tend to be electrically drawn to those who mirror the same behaviors their parents had, however negative... So, when someone gives you that kind of instant charge, watch out! Stay open-minded and try to get to know them better on a realistic level, however difficult that may be!

Yes! I met this beautiful blond, blue eyed girl ..... with a smile that could warm up anyone's heart when I was in the first grade. It was my birthday, she came over and kissed me on the cheek. It was for me love at first sight, I married her and we lived happily for 43 years when she died suddenly. I have been widowed for 17 years, am now an old man , live alone but know that I will see her again.

prolly not. when you meet someone you more than likely experience intense feelings like lust. you'd have to get to know that person before you could ever really be in love them.
