I like it that you put the question in the china section.
Anyway, it's a bit weird, and the Japanese have very different attitudes to women than Westerners.
The language is completely impossible to understand, most people speak very little English, the seasons are totally different and the food is odd (to me).
There is very little space - I remember one street in Tokyo where the bars were stacked all on top of each other to about 10 storeys high, rather than being along a strip.
Still, differences are what makes travel interesting, and I'd definitley recommend it.
