If you live in the same house wait until you know she is out and when she is returning. If you are in your own place invite her over. Wherever make a banner saying something like Happy Belated Mother's Day, really grovel as in the chocs flowers, home made card if there's now no Mother's Day Cards around and some nice food she likes. Home made if pos if not M& S or a home delivery. I am telling you all this but I certainly would not be looking for a present from my family on mothers day and DEFINITELY not go on about it. If you respect your mum all year that's what really matters.

Number 1: never forget mothers day she is the reason your writing this in the first place.
Number 2: I don't understand the hair bit!
Number 3: Buy her some flowers tomorrow accompanied with an apology.

Make something for her. Or do something for her that she's been wanting. NO amount of belated presents and cards are going to recompense for your tardiness. This is not something that can be reversed by materialism.
However, the evidence of some personal effort, usually goes a long way in situations like this.

Pre-paid red heart about three fingers tall (hold three of own fingers above your left nipple), a tattoo, and she can stick it
where Mothers Day best belongs.

As a Mum myself, I certainly would not expect my Son to go out spending his money on me - a hug is more than enough!

You're a weirdo mate - buy her a box of chocolates and some flowers and don't go near any hair in future!

Well, I'd happily tell you - but I find the whole process deeply upsetting. Can't think why.

tell her you will "treat" her extra next mothers day, and ask her if she needs help with trimming her bush, and if she says yes be gentle and try not to cut her.
