Not all psychics believe their gift to be from the spirit world.
Actually, many people believe that most of us are psychic to a degree, and that many of us have been taught to ignore it.
Some think that all psychics are frauds.
Some Christians believe that anything supernatural is of the Devil (Unless it's answered prayer and then it's of God).
In any case, the military was able to prove that some people are especially gifted in knowing the future, remote viewing and other such skills. The problem was that it wasn't 100% reliable, and when you're sending a bomb based on information, you need that 100%, or at least very close to it.
A psychic who has even a 50% reliability in knowing what's going on somewhere else is doing far better than guessing could ever provide, but that's simply not good enough to provide justification for military action.
Too, many police departments have worked with psychics, and they have been provided with information that has helpes solve cases and find missing people. That they have had any success shows that there is SOMETHING to the ability that psychics posess as a person guessing simply doesn't have the ability to lead someone to where somebody is burried; let alone to do so repeatedly.

Psychics are not fakes but have a gift given them. If you are sceptical about this I suggest you tune into Channel 886 on Satellite TV "the psychic channel" where you can actually watch and listen in to some of Britain's top psychics at work with ordinary people, and join in yourself if you wish. On any day of any week you will be able to observe people who were totally sceptical about psychics find out they are definitely not fakes, because of the uncanny detail they instantly find out about those people who communicate with them whether by e mail, phone call or text message.
These .Psychics seem to prove themselves to be of immense comfort to people going through very traumatic situations in their lives and help them to sort out their terrible problems realistically and compassionately.
Regarding the religious aspect in all this, certain answeres see fit to bring into it, psychics have always existed before and after the birth of Christ. There are many mentioned in Quran and in the Bible, which is supposed to be "the word of God". If anybody really seriously tries to contend psychics get their power of prophesy from Satan then that would appear to mean they believe the prophet Mohamed and Old Testament prophets Moses, Naphan, Apiyah, Shemayah, Elija, Elisha and a certain New Testament prophet named Jesus Christ were all agents of Satan too?.

I don't think that all psychics are fake. I think the first way to tell the difference is what they charge, a small payment to cover expenses is fine but if they're asking for alot then their motivation is questionable.
I know people who have been to see Spiritualist clairvoyants and they have been told things that have been acurate and have been comforted greatly by it - if it was fake or not I don't know as I wasn't there but if it helped them through a time of grief and the person doing the reading was understanding and sensitive then I think that's a good thing.

No, I have tested many psychics. A lot of people think they are psychic. But, a lot of people think they can sing, but can't really. Psychic ability is common. Using it correctly is the trick.
Study. Buy books and trust yourself.

If you have a genuine connection with the spirit world, you wouldn't seek to earn a living from it.
You would do what the spirit world guides you to do.
About 90% of spiritualists are frauds. It's so refreshing when you meet a genuine one.

in Islam we believe there some physics that mess with evil spirits.and the evil spirits(which we call jinns) hang around the lower heavens to gather information about people.and then the jinns go back to the people. but with everything the jinn tells them there are 99 lies that go along with it.
so yes some physics are real.but most are all a bunch of fakes trying to make a quick buck
