Politicians can't tell you. The White House won't tell you.

I think the amnesty advocates and the open-borders crowd have no idea, and don't care, how many millions are here now or how many millions more the amnesty will bring here. The more, the merrier, is their motto.

Two million people legally admitted to the United States each year. In addition - 14 percent of those, by the way, those people given permanent residency are from Mexico. Two million people legally admitted to the United States.
Four hundred thousand skilled foreign workers and their families receive H-1 visas each year.
Nearly 900,000 other legal foreign workers are admitted on some type of employment visa.
Six-hundred sixty thousand student visas are issued every year.
And 455,000 people given temporary employment transfers.

Help me out. What are we trying to do here? I mean, we have a lawful immigration system that brings in 2 million people a year, plus all of these other workers that overwhelms any other immigration system in the world. All of Russia, all of the European Union combined can't even come close to matching our immigration levels. And that's a population 40 percent higher than our own. Help me out.

c00kies I am asking how many foreign guest workers are here and you're telling much money this one has or that one has. If I wanted to know how much money everybody has, I'll ask Bush his policy of spying into our bank accounts can tell me that better than you. Might even find out what the illegals are really saying with an illegal e-mail tap. I really don't care how much they spend, I do not need their money are services. Stop worshiping money. It's a false GOD

We grant about a million residency visas a year one way and another, and another 4+ million non resident visas, per an article I saw yesterday.

And of course, illegal immigration is on top of that, and if the bill authors thought their bill was going to stop it, then who is the Dream Act instate tuition supposed to be for once those here would be legallized?

Can't help you understand it. We are very liberal, they don't want it to be our choice, at all.

Because we're certified to do them, and our employers have "proven a list of making an attempt to fill the role with a home applicant" and failed. American-knowledgeable employees are traditionally simply now not shrewd adequate for lots of jobs.....Why is that? The reply is rather really practical; American scholars cross to university an ordinary of 6.five hours an afternoon, one hundred eighty days a 12 months British scholars cross to university an ordinary of eight hours an afternoon for one hundred ninety days a 12 months Chinese scholars cross to university an ordinary of eight.6 hours an afternoon, 232 days a 12 months Gee, I surprise why such a lot of foreigners are smarter than American children?

I thought I read or heard somewhere that we already grant 400,000 a year. With the new bill they are wanting an additional 400,000 and this doesn't include HB1's etc. There's also about 1 million people per year granted citizenship.

Zoe? Lisa Simpson? again? dude, if you are so concern about this immigration issue, why don't you become a politician? I don't understand people here, all they do is cry about how illegals or immigrants are infecting this country...for pete's sake, instead of trying to become a worthless Minutemen or sit on your fat butts at home typing in Yahoo! Answers how nasty or lowly illegal immigrants are, go kiss some politicians toes to become part of them. But again, I bet the most of these haters have gone to become one of those MINUTETARDS supporters since there's no education or any specific criteria required... and why in hell people call them heroes? Yikes!! they can't shoot, they can't arrest, they can't do anything...except spend $9.99 at Wal Mart for some binoculars and cry "illegals, illegals, illegals" if they happen to see some. Isn't SUMMER around the corner? How hot does the desert gets? ...Fried and roasted Minutetards for $1.99 a pound, anyone? Hahahahaha....

**c00kies sings away**

Ok, Zoe, based on your data given there, is that good or bad?

Uhmm...let me help you out here. Your student visas? well, would you take in a foreigner who pays $7-15K per quarter or semester or would you take a resident who pays $1-2K per quarter or semester. If it wasn't for all those students visas, I doubt any school would have survived the miserable help from the state. I go to a public 4 years university in Southern California, and 40% of the grad students are international students, and do you know their tuition fee WITHOUT books and other expenses? well, $12K tuition PLUS $5-7K of expenses per quarter and aren't qualified for any financial aid or any types of help. That's is why the US is so willing to approve student visas.

As for your Hs visas? those are employment visas if I'm not mistaken. Well, these types of visas are issued by the US because top notch firms that are feeding the government are the ones who required them. These Hs visas are issued to PhDs and MBAs from foreign countries. So, what's so bad about it? Oh! if you think they get paid less than regular residents, that's not true. They get paid the same amount as any regular employee.

You can give me the data of how many visas or permits are granted by the US to foreign citizens, but can you give me the amount of REVENUE that they bring into this country?

One more "number" I would like you to put in that little head of yours. Hispanics (legals or illegals) can accommodate to bring 800 BILLIONS of dollars of expenditure, that is, 800 BILLIONS of dollars of revenues for many small businesses. And also, accept that fact that in many small businesses in Texas are already accepting PESOS as a currency for their transactions.

As for your "comparison" of Europe and Russia to the US...who in hell mind would want to end up in a Socialist country (Russia)? and as for Europe, the West is pretty much packed, the East? well, with all that geopolitical thing that is happening there, I doubt there's job availability or even education for many foreign nationals.

Well, you seem to be complaining about all these immigrants coming into the US, I was merely giving the reason of why there's so many of them. So, you don't worship money? well, honestly, I do. I'm not going to lie to you, I would rather live in Newport Beach than South Central LA. By the way, you may think that you don't need these immigrants' money, but you are involuntarily doing it. The computer that you are typing on, it was built by many immigrants brains and hands. So, involuntarily, you are using their services.
