Since it's only 5 pounds, maybe this is the optimum weight for your body? If you absolutely must lose those last 5, try tracking your calories, and switching up your workout routine a bit. A little change can help you burn more calories.

I have the same issue and I've kinda come to terms with the fact that if I want to enjoy the occassional drink with friends or dessert at a party, I'm just going to have to live with the extra five pounds. It just where my body seems to want to be.

But, if you are motivated enough to lose it, it's just a numbers game. Avoid, or burn 3500 calories, and you'll lose a pound. Not all at once of course! That's why it gets so much harder to lose at the end. At first, when you have lots to lose and are changing your habits, it's easy to cut out 500 calories a day and burn off more, but as your body gets used to a lower calorie diet and exercise, it's pretty hard to cut out a few hundred calories.

Good luck!

You probably are retaining fluids in your body. If you are slender and that five pounds is just something that you want to do, you can rid yourself of retaining fluid by taking a diaretic. There are natural diaretics, such as alphalfa tablets or have one prescribed by your doctor.
If you feel good and don't have any bulge of fat, forget losing the five pounds.
