Correct phrasing (old Italian- 16th century) is
'De la mia morte, eterna vita io vivo'.
It was the motto of an Italian test editor ( Gabriele Giolito de Ferrari) which logo was the Phoenix.-
Legend says that this mythologic firebird at the end of its life-cycle builds itself a nest of cinnamon twigs that it then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix arises

I suspect that it's a misprint and the last word should be "VIVO", in which case:
"Through my death I live eternal life."
