Me and my family are staying in Anahiem from March 30th-April 3rd and were wanting to swim in the ocean and lay out on some sand. Any information about parking or admission prices would be helpful. We are willing to drive up to an hour away from our hotel in Anahiem if needed. I was hoping for a beach that is fairly clean (not too much litter), and no biting sharks or peronas, also maybe a public potty. lol. We just want to have fun and relax. Any detailed info about the beaches would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Newport Beach, Corona Del Mar, Crystal Cove State Park, and Laguna Beach have some of the nicest and most scenic beaches in Orange County. Hunington Beach is also a great beach town and has really wide beaches too.

There are some great beaches in SD County too within an hour's drive if you want to go that far, but the southern coast of Orange County is just as nice as clean.

You can lay out in the sun but the water is pretty cold right now, it's not usually warm enough to swim in until late May to mid June. It's in the upper 50's and lower 60's, too cold for me but some people can seem to brave it.

all beaches in california have "peronas". but a nice beach would be newport beach, laguna beach, huntington. newport would be about half hour drive from Disneyland. Huntington maybe 20. At Huntington, expect to pay about 25 cents for 10 minutes of parking. to take a lot of change. some lots near the piers have all day parking fees that vary. Stay away from Seal Beach (lots of Sting Rays) and Newport has it's share of Sharks so no early morning swimming or late night. Malibu would be great but it's a lot more than an hour away. But around warmer months you could easily see dolphins swimming right off shore with the surfers.

The two closest beaches are Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. Both are accessible by heading south on Harbor (north/south cross street for Disneyland) until it ends at Newport Blvd (SR 55), turning right, and heading south to PCH. You will be in Newport Beach, but Huntington Beach is about an additional 5 minutes North on PCH. Bothe beaches are nice.

Huntington Beach is Orange County's laid back Southern California beach town. It includes millions of grains of sand in Huntington City Beach, Huntington State Beach, Bolsa Chica State Beach and Dog Beach. Sports such as surfing, beach volleyball, BMX biking, skateboarding, bicycling and roller blading are possible all year long at the beach. Live bands play free summer concerts at the beach and at bars and restaurants every night across Pacific Coast Highway on Main Street and nearby.

Huntington Beach is one of hundreds of California beaches, and is an incorporated city of approximately 200,000 residents. Huntington Beach Pier, the longest municipal concrete pier, sporting events such as surfing, skateboarding, volleyball, frisbee golf, horseback riding and rolling blading. There are 18 lodging properties, two dog parks and beaches, approximately 70 public sports fields and parks, excellent schools and beautiful sunsets at the beach. Close to several major airports, Orange County Airport, Long Beach Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, Huntington Beach is also situated near Anaheim's Disneyland, Los Angeles and San Diego.

Summers in Huntington Beach are the busiest time of year with annual events that include surfing, skateboard and BMX competitions, a huge July 4th parade and a unique equestrian competition that includes a musical derby. Huntington Beach is made for those who love being outdoors; people come to experience the waves, ride the skate parks and paths and lay on the sandy beach. Adults, children and teens love to sit along Main Street, too, and dine on delicious foods while watching the parade of swim suits, surf boards and traffic pass through a five block stretch of shops and outdoor cafes. It's a casual place where the only suit you'll need is a swim suit or wet suit. Leave the ties at home, because even the finest restaurants in town do not require them.

Huntington Beach or Newport beach. Check out Laguna, and Dana Point. My fav for swimming is Newport Beach around 17th street. Balboa island is a lot of fun to walk around. do not forget to get a frozen banana

Laguna Beach is the nicest, then Crystal Cove in Newport.
Dana Point is very nice too. these 3 have the most tide pools and scenic value.
Huntington Beach is boring, except if you like to drink then you can go to the bars where everyone hangs out.

The closest beach (and one which I recommend) is Huntington Beach. Your family will like it a lot...As with most beaches there is a modest parking fee. It has all the amenities you could ask for in a beach area..

Huntington Beach is the most popular beach in the area. It offers beach activities for the family, and lots of quaint shops and restaurants for the adults. It's roughly 13 miles due south of Mouseland.
