...considered cheating when two people are in a relationship yet one of them still chats, very explicitly with total strangers? If you have to ask what "intimate & explicitly" mean...skip this question please. Thanks

It sets an oppurtunity for cheating. If they are comfortable "chatting" with total strangers, then more than likely they have thought of cheating. Would you want your significant other whispering "sweet nothings" to someone else, when they should only share that with you?

Physically talking, no, is not intimate.
But, since you would be talking about intimacy in your conversations, it could be considered just as having an intimate phone conversation, or an e-mail, or chatting in person.
Now, to be cheating, there has to be real sexual meaning in that conversation of course. That is, maybe both of them are masturbating while chatting like having phone sex.
Is that really cheating? It depends of each person. For me, is not really cheating, is more like a little “escape”. So what?
In fact, I like it when girl is like that. It means she is open minded and very sexual. When I was dating my girlfriend (now my wife) she had some phone sex with some guys that she knew for a long time. Hell, once she did it in front of me just to get me excited. LOL
You see, it all depends. To some people it could mean a lot, and would be a good reason to call off the relation. But again, to me, I think it would be exaggerated. Unless they have intentions to cheat for real (real physical contact or in other words, have sex). Then things change.
Now, if that person is being honest, and telling you that is having some “fun” on the side doing some dirty chatting, again, so what?
You decide.

...you've cheated in your heart if you have hun....but only you can be the judge of your own unrelaxed behavior darling. Cheating is cheating is cheating hun...no matter how you look at it.....cheating online behind anyone's back without their knowledge babe...it's called cheating. Are we clear on all of this cheating stuff now....cause cheaters don't rate highly with me otherwise. I'm kinda surprised really that you even had to ask hun. I'm not gonna be the one to judge you hun...you are....so go look at yourself in the mirror...and apologize to yourself...and get back to turning right again darling. It's more fun to turn right anyways. You'd be simply a Nascar driver if all you ever did was turn left! Get straight with your man and yourself woman. You wouldn't want him doing this crap to you...would ya? I didn't think so anyways. I'm done for now babe. Be in judgment of yourself hun...otherwise God is gonna do it for you later.

It would be cheating, but if it is with permission, maybe not so bad for the relationship. Best way is to be monogamous and have not cheating of any type.

Only if they meet in real life is it a big deal. think of it as interactive porn, and whoever they are, make sure they keep their personal information private. Blackmailers abound online.

technically yes, because someone has the interest sexually for another person.even though it's not physical,it's still a form of mental stimulation.

it means your close to cheating or have thought about it. It might be best to break up if you do that.
