You have every right to feed birds on your own property! If she doesn't like it, she can move! Heck, she could buy a cat, that should help.
In fact, I'd save the little notes she's sending you. They can come in handy when you ask the judge for a restraining order against your wacko neighbor.
There is no way she can use law to make you stop feeding birds on your own property. If it were against the law, stores wouldn't sell 'wild bird food'. Environmentalists will probably praise you for helping out wildlife when their natural food resources get more and more depleted each day.
I am sorry that you live next to a crazy person.

I don't know where you are but, there are some localities in Australia in which it is illegal to feed wild birds. I know on the surface that seems extreme, but there are some valid reasons for the law. For example....a person who regularly fed wild parrots in one location inadvertently helped a disease called psittacosis (which is harmful to humans as well) go through a population of Galahs decimating that years young. The source of the problem was one sick bird that came to the feeders. Because this person didn't clean his feeders daily all the other wild birds were exposed to the illness. Check your local laws before you take this lady on. If it is legal in your area, then stand up for yourself. This sort of person is likely to find another reason to give you grief if she wins one silly battle. Good luck!! Nothing worse than a problem neighbour.

I see no way she can do anything about it. Maybe you can talk to the authorities to make them aware that this neighbor is threatening you with cards stating that she is harassing you. I have fed birds for many years and I do not see how she can do anything about it. Maybe you can ask your lawyer.
Also I was just thinking does your city have an ordinance about feeding birds if they do not there is nothing the neighbors can do to you.
Have you thought about a privacy fence.....
PS: You might take pictures of her watching you so you have proof. Keep all the cards and notes too .

If you're in the U.S., I'd file a suit against her for harrasment, and then I'd file for a personal protection order, which prevents her from contacting you or even getting within so many feet of you.
If you've been feeding the birds for this long, and she's just suddenly getting "odd"... especially with notes, and constant harrasment... this kind of person could be mentally unstable, and potentially dangerous.

Sounds to me like she is just plain nuts. And is entertianing herself by harrasing you. You have every right to feed birds in your own yard. What you do on your own property is not any of her buisness. Id call the cops and have them streighten her out. The fobia stuff may just be an exuse. If the cops cant settle it then try having her committed to the funny farm.

Is there any way you can feed the birds so they dont rest in her trees or worse on her roof or poo in her place etc
thats probably all thats worrying her
move the spot where you feed them & that just may help & also feed very early in the morning once a day & they will eat & fly away if you dont over feed them

you are allowed to feed birds, call the police (not the emergency number) if she is being abusive or threatining. if its just pidgeons then try a food pidgeons wont eat, or put it somewhere only smaller or lighter birds can get it.
