This morning I woke up w/ a wet feeling btwn my legs and this pimple or what ever uwanna call it popped. I was oozing out the good. It was gross. I put neosormin on it and bandage. I looked at it through out the day. It is purple now, it hurts like hell and the sponge is soaked and so are the inner thighs of my pants. It looks like I pied on my self. Im embarressed. What can this be? Im going 2 the dr. 2night but I really don't feel like going. What do u think he's gonna do?

I've had sebaceous cysts my whole life, sometimes they get infected and it hurts like hell. You need to go to the doc as it will only get worse unless its treated. If you go to a regular doc he may just lance it which does hurt a little but not as much as it sounds. Even if it hurt a whole bunch, it is instant relief. Mine was on my neck and badly infected so yours might hurt even less since there aren't as many nerves where yours is. But if it is just an infection, he'll probably just give you some prescription creme for it and let your body take care of it over time.

The only way to completely get rid of a sebaceous cyst is to have it removed by a cosmetic surgeon, probably any surgeon can do it but the one that I actually had removed was under my chin. The sebaceous kind have a sac surrounding them and the only way to make sure it never comes back is to have the whole sac removed. They give you novacaine and it's not that horrible. Mine smell really bad when they ooze and it screws with my self-esteem something awful... so please get it taken care of, don't be scared of the pain as it is over quick and you'll feel so much better.

If it is diagnosed as a cyst... look up dr walt stoll on google, he says that you need to incorporate EFA's into your diet and that will prevent any new ones from appearing. Though, if you are in the USA your doc will probably say that is bogus and there is nothing you can do except keep going back to him every time you get one (after all he does have a boat and luxury car to pay for). Email me if you want. Good Luck ;)

He may give you antibiotics to clear it up. That is probably all he will do. If this happens again, put hot packs on; this will help it drain.
