A stone-throwing, money hungry,
judgmental and self-righteous lot, a bad representation of your faith? Pat Robertson is a cook who converses with God in English (much like Caligula conversed with Jupiter, Neptune and the like), who persecutes ANYONE who does not tow the line. Benny Hinn, that fraudulent "healer" - well, just read the following:
He lives in an ocean-front mansion valued at an estimated $8.5 million in an exclusive gated community in Dana Point, California, travels by private aircraft, and stays in hotel rooms costing upwards of $3,000 per night. In December 2006, he sent out a mailing asking for donations towards a new Gulfstream G4SP jet valued at an estimated $36 million.
THERE IS A QUESTION HERE, so DO NOT give me the old "IS there a question here?" Go back to the top to read the question. In addition, would Jesus be proud of TBN, and would he participate in it?

I would have to agree--no Jesus wouldn't be proud of it, nor would he participate in it. Jesus even threw htose out who were trying to make money in the temple, in Matthew 21:12-13.  "And Jesus entered into the temple and threw out all those selling and buying in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.  And he said to them: “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but YOU are making it a cave of robbers.”

Yes TBN is a bad representation of Christianity.

I cannot justify the ungodly stuff that any televangelists do. We will all stand before God someday.....

If they are preaching the Word of God even for greed the only comfort I can extract from that is that the bible says that God's Word will not return void to Him.

SO even if there are those who are preaching it for the wrong reasons, His Word is living and active and has the ability to touch the heart of those who hear it.

But that is a small comfort when folks like Hinn and others are steering people seeking truth away from it and setting a horrible example of greed and selfishness.

God is a righteous judge and if things like this are not dealt with in this lifetime I can rest assured that those who need to be dealt with
receive their just rewards when they go to meet their Maker.

Jesus I am sure is not pleased with TBN

I hope this answers your question.

I AM a Christian, and I agree with you 110%. The people at TBN give Christians a bad name and I am ashamed of them all.
To answer your second question, I would imagine Jesus would talk to them as he did the Pharisees in His day... as unsaved sinners. They certainly do not teach anything that even resembles the gospel of Jesus Christ, who had no place to lay his head. They are heretics who are led by their own selfish greed, not the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I do not watch much TV ministries because I feel they have given a bad name to Christianity. Not all have, but many have. I only listen to one radio pastor and that is it. We are living in what we Christians call the "end times". So during this time Christ warned us that there would be many false teachers. So, one must chose carefully who they watch and listen to. I do not watch the programs you mentioned but if something doesn't seem right to you turn it off. However, to disregard Jesus because of the failings of mankind is not right either. Jesus told us in the Bible that many will come before Him on the day of Judgement and say, Lord, Lord, did we not do all kinds of things in your name. Jesus will tell them to depart for He never knew them. One must be careful to follow the real Jesus, as found in scripture.

Yes, it is a stone-throwing, money hungry, judgmental and self-righteous lot, and a bad representation of faith (though not mine)! Good point! Hope people can end their vulnerable ways. It's pathetic. Love the avatar!

Most Bible-believing Christians I know call TBN the "Totally Bogus Network."

'nuff said.

I'm with Father K on this one....after many years of watching it...I got tired of seeing the same things done over and over and my faith walk has gotten much more enjoyable since I stopped watching it!

You should consider becoming a preacher. You certainly got a lot of amens!

I'm a born again Christian who does not watch TBN. That's all I care to say on the matter.

Religion is big business. It's an unfortunate reality, and so many people get duped. The more outrageous - the more viewers, the more money.

Personally - I think Jesus would disassociate himself with TBN and many others out there claiming to speak "in His name".

You know what? You have a really good question here. I am definitely Christian as anyone on here knows my answers well enough to see that. I have my doubts with these people.
When in doubt, throw it out.....I look to God as my source, not man. That includes televangelists.
