how come Jesus favored John out of all 12 ..APOSTLES?

I am not quite sure but I think it is because he was closer to John then the other apostles. I know how you feel but it may be it is because he was one of Jesus' first followers.

Jesus really had an inner circle among the disciples consisting of Peter and John. I believe they out of any of the 12 were the most passionate about their view of the Gospel, most outspoken, closest to Jesus, etc. Im not sure its a matter of favor on Jesus part either. If you look at Mary and Martha, Mary was drawn to Jesus when he visited so much so that she neglected to help Martha with the chores. But later Jesus pronounced that she picked what was better to do at that moment, which was to listen to Jesus and draw near to him. The important lesson I believe we can draw from both John and Mary is to draw near to Jesus, and he will draw ever nearer to us.

Jesus loved all the disciples equally but John understood the concept of love better than the other 11. You can see that clearly when you compare his gospel to the other three. It's the reason it's referred to as the "love gospel.

I thought he favored Mary, the 13th never mentioned apostle... weird. I mean, he supposedly whispered something to her that he never said to the other 12 and they all god angry.
