How do you change a background with adobe photoshop, and put another one?

how to add a new background to the pic? or what image software would i need to get?

its a bit complicated to describe over email...but you would want to use a lasso, or the pen tool(where you can later convert the vector lines to a selection), magic wand, or even go into mask mode. to select the background. after you used one of these methods to do that cut the background out of that layer and paste it into another one...for the sake of having a backup. then you find your background image put it behind the foreground layer. adjust the hue/saturation, and or contrast....maybe adjust the levels...feather some edges...and you are golden.
