Manic Panic is one that works very well, Feria is another but the closest to purple in their line would probably be Plum sort of a dark purplish brown. There is another on the market but can't think of it at the moment...Manic Panic and Feria are the ones my kids have used, pink, blue and purple and the Plum

Depends, if you want a natural looking purple Redken 3RV is AWESOME! If you want punk rock purple go to Hot Topic and they can help you with that.
