..however long it takes you personally hun?...is absolutely how long it will take YOU obviously. No one can tell you directly how long it will take anybody to recover from a broken heart babe...everybody is different on this stuff truly. That's kinda sorta the bug about broken hearts babe. Some hearts mend quickly...others take forever and a day reasonably. It's all up to you sweetie.Take the time to go out and grieve properly, quietly, and keep busy while you're at it too. Don't go running out and leaping into new faith with another guy so quickly this time either. You'll just end up dragging unsung mischief and baggage into the next one if you do. Let your heart mend babe...and find someone close to you that will allow you to kinda ventilate your emotional feelings on them reasonably. God loves ya babe...and so do we hun. Know that great loves still lye's in front of you darling...not behind you. Sound fare to you sweetie? It's gonna have to hun...cause that's where you're gonna be heading to next. You'll be brighter and filled with more sunshine this time when you do!

Well, I think it can take a long time. But, finding something else and someone else does help out a lot with the healing process. You will always have the piece of the broken heard with you and you may feel the pain time to time - even 10 yrs later. But, eventually, all the positive/ happy events will ease the pain. Good luck!

Everyone's case is different. The only true healing is time. And being able to accept what has happened. Try not to dwell too much, but if you need a good cry once in awhile let it out. Don't rush into things with anyone else until you're ready because it will only add fuel to the fire. Good luck

No one will have your answer for that. I would say that it takes however long you need. Just remember that whatever's happened has ended the relationship and there is no point in dwelling on it. It's over, sorry, but things now have to start anew.

Best of Luck.

That's is the hardest question!

My heart is broken in 3 places.
The biggest one is my fault.
The rest is because they were not good enough and I had to say good bye.

I'm still nursing my heart. maybe someday I'll meet a wonderful nurse and she'll mend it with her tender loving kindness and devotion.

Until then live and let live (within moral reason, that is) ;)

as long as you need. I know it took me about a year for it to heal. There is no pain worse than getting your heart broken , but lets face it the guy who did this to you wasnt good enough for you anyways. :)

r u kidding me ... year or two is too long for a healing process ... you have to get over it sooner and it completely depends on you ... find someone nice to be with and make yourself occupied with something new, something that you love and things will get better at a much faster pace than you r thinking ... good luck !

Actually never, you will always feel the pain. Just use it as a lesson learned...
A guy broke my heart 7 years ago and I still feel it. Every person, who broke my heart, I still feel it b/c my feelings were genuine.

Just use it as a stepping stone...

It depends on how long the relationship lasted and the nature of the relationship and why you broke up.

An ex......a year long relationship with a boyfriend who cheated should get a few weeks of crying....then move on.
