>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>well.. everything you've all said its great.. but can someone really develop bi polar disorder? although like some have said it might just be depression.. the mood swings are killing me.. i haven't tried to kill myself yet although i have surely thought of it but i have asked the person that caused me so much pain to do it.. of course they aren't going to respond to it.. but i just got back.. i bought some coke and took a few lines.. and it didn't help..i'm typing 1000 words a second but i still feel like hell.. how much coke does it usually take someone who's about 5'5 and 115lbs to feel numb enough? i doubt seeing a shrink will help..

What your describing sounds like a chemical imbalance. Bipolar disorders are due to a chemical imbalance and often respond to medication. A lot of the time these imbalances appear when a person is in their late teens or twenties. Are you in that age group? You should go see a doctor and tell her what you've said here. There's no point in suffering when you don't have to. I think most people with this problem are suffering. It's also dangerous. Do something before you get hurt or have something happen that will affect your life for a long time. Please get medical help. Good luck.

Please, do as I did, get help immediately. You sound like me 6 months ago. I went to the county crisis center and got help that day. I was seen by a nurse first to take vitals, normally when you are angry, anxious or upset your vitals will be higher. Then I was seen by a therapist for some time, then I saw a psychiatrist who really listened. I was diagnosed not only with depression, but with bipolar disorder as well. I am now under control and my moods have stabilized and am feeling so much better physically, emotionally. Remember, you are not alone, there is help out there. If you do not know who to contact, call the police department and ask them. If you have no way to get there, it can usually be arranged by the county where you live. Please, for yourself and your friends and family, do not go through this alone. You do not have to suffer alone in silence. If I knew you personally or lived near you, I would take you myself. You will get the help you need, just ask someone.

I just responded to a question about being too helpful but what will work for you is to do something for someone else.
This will take your mind off of what is ailing you and before you know it, you will have the answer to your own issue.
Make sure you help from the heart, not half hearted. Be of help because you want to be, sincerely, and do the best you can do.
You will be surprised how great you feel when you take your mind off of your problems to help someone else.

Continuing to be active is the best remedy. Do things socially with friends, avoid the urge to sleep long and blow off social activities. Keep a focus on being physically active, doing things socially, and also challenging yourself with intellectual pursuits, like reading, study, etc. Finally, a spiritual connection is helpful as well, ie talking to God (or a higher power according to your own belief system) and asking for divine assistance in your challenges.

You need to see a counselor or psychiatrist. What you are describing sounds like bi-polar disorder. Nothing you can really do until you are seen and diagnosed with something. You need to take care of this right away!! Good luck to you!! I hope you find the answers you need!

depression and bipolar meds make you into a zombie and make you feel no emotion at all, i recommend avoiding them at all costs. antidepressants can make the condition worse also making you more suicidal.

i recommend a benzo like xanax maybe to calm you down if your absolutely definately going on meds. but there are no good meds for mood disorders.

the best thing is to find someone to love and be close to. thats what will make true happiness.

alcohol is the only thing that really saves me from depression.

Go see a doctor. Drugs or booze may make you feel better for a while, but really, how long do you want to live like this?
