There are these grass carp in a pond where I fish . some are almost 4 feet long or more. These are not regular carp . I think they were stocked in this pond .

What can I use to catch them BESIDES a treble hook?

They dont eat the dough or regular bait used for carp. They wont even eat a nightcrawler.

Try putting some grass on a hook and hope to get lucky. Should work in theory. Maybe you could set a line like you would for catfish, but use aquatic plants as bait. Then just check it everyday til you catch one.

People around here put grass carp in ponds for vegetation control. If you don't have any grass carp, then during the summer your pond will be so full of grass, weeds, moss, and any other pond plants that it will be nearly impossible to fish. Since they only eat plants, they don't hurt the fish population much. It is possible to have so many of them that they eat all the vegetation in the pond. You want to have just enough to keep the vegation in control, not destroy it. So, I would only fish them out if your pond had little to no vegatation, otherwise they should make your pond better for fishing.
